Purple is the New Pink

I am really looking forward to Spring. Not only do I love the change in weather, but I love the makeup trends that start. I have a lot of baby pink colored items that I enjoy incorporating into my springtime makeup routine. However, I do not have very many lilac items and decided to change that. Makeup items that are lilac are usually cooler toned, which complement my skin the best. I bought a blush and a lip gloss, two of my favorite makeup items to buy.

Givenchy Le Prisme Blush Powder Blush in It-Girl Purple

I was most intrigued by this blush's color payoff when I swatched in in store. These four matte colors can either be blended together or used alone. The color in the upper right hand is the color you will achieve if all four colors are mixed together. The sales associate in store told me that the Givenchy blushes and bronzers are very long lasting. She said that the blush I picked out should last at least three years (wow!).

NARS Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Années Folles

This gloss came out in the NARS Spring 2014 High Seize Collection. Années Folles is described as a sheer violet. This is my first NARS lipgloss so I am looking forward to try it. I am most excited to pair this with Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling. This Revlon Balm Stain is a very wearable lilac pink color. I think these two paired together will make a gorgeous springtime lip color.

I will report back on these products with full reviews. What are your favorite Spring makeup looks? Let me know below!

Nicole
