Scrub That Dry Skin Away

This is my first review of products from LUSH, but over time you will see that I love this place. If you never have been there it can be a little overwhelming. There are so many different colors, smells, and products that it is difficult to choose what you want to give a try. I never used scrubs in the shower before discovering this store. However my skin is thankful I have found two that work well.

Rub Rub Rub

This blue body salt scrub has a delicious mimosa and orange flower scent. I use this mainly on my body (especially for my legs, arms, and underarms). Underarms? Yes, I feel that regular soap does not remove deodorant and this scrub makes sure to get rid of any buildup. After scrubbing it around, it turns into a soap consistency and does not leave an oily feeling on your skin afterwards. It is recommended to use before you shave. I have never used it for this, but I should start! Once I tried to use it as a shampoo because sea salt gives hair nice volume, but it irritated my face (extremely sensitive skin over here). However, body-wise I absolutely love this stuff (this is my second jar).

Ocean Salt

This is a very popular and best-selling LUSH product that many people love. It is a bluish salt scrub and has more of a lime scent to it. It has some grains of salt that are more course (Rub Rub Rub has more of a finely milled salt). Ocean Salt is very moisturizing and I mainly use this scrub on my hands. It leaves behind a moisturized (maybe a little oily) feeling and I always follow up with a lotion. This is great to use just before bed to get some extra moisture in for the night. I had to get this scrub after a sales associate at LUSH gave me an in store demonstration. Afterwards the skin on my hands felt supple and with my dry skin I knew I would get a lot of use out of this product.

Using a scrub really helps get rid of that dead skin and allows lotion to do its job better. I wish I discovered the benefits of scrubs sooner. My skin, especially during the winter months, seems to always be dry and this helps keep it in better shape. Let me know if you have tried these, how you use them, and any other scrubs you recommend!

Scrub away,

Nicole
